Ross made us very welcome on our 3 night family stay. The location was ideal for exploring Arran and walking to local amenities in Brodick. The ensuite family room was just right for us and our 13yr old. The continental breakfast and porridge was lovely and plenty to take some away with us for a snack on our walks before returning in the afternoon for a treat of home made cakes in the lounge. The drying room came in very handy after some heavy rain.

Glenartyis an ideal base for a relaxed comfortable stay. We found the house to be stylish in an unpretentious way with due care to social distancing & safety. Breakfast in a box was a refreshing alternative to the usual cooked fare: we enjoyed the homemade granola & stewed fruit combo & homebaking in afternoon. Ross was very helpful in finding us walks. The shower could have been more powerful bug that was probably a water pressure issue. The only negative was the lack of lighting in the street outside which made the approach at night difficult & uninviting.
Tips:Bring a,torch! Crofters is a good eating place nearby.

This was our favourite accommodation of a multiple stop holiday. As well as clean and stylishly decorated room and communal areas, there were little extras that made it stand out - the home made cake wrapped in parchment paper for one, cute bottles of water ready in the fridge another. The delicious breakfast was stylishly presented and plentiful. The owners were friendly and interested.
Tips:Brodick brasserie is very close and whilst not cheap, served delicious food. The castle is quite a walk away, we drove there. We also liked Brambles restaurant which is walking distance. You can easily walk to the seafront and shops from here. The ferry port is just at the other end of the seafront so only a few minutes drive.

Beautifully prented Guest House. Staff very friendly and helpful. Covid safe environment. Continental breakfast very well thought out and delicious and more than adequate for the heartiest appetite!
Tips:Brodick Castle and grounds worth visit but at least basic mobility required. Heritage museum and cafe good. Hooked and Cooked chip shop good. Arran Fine Foods (Lamlash) factory shop great offers.

Breakfast for me was the best ever. I a not a "full Scottish/English" person so the breakfast box with Yoghurts, fruits, granola. Eggs, ham, cheese etc was amazing. All homemade bread, jams, pots of fruit etc. Rooms very comfortable. Host excellent. Even homemade cakes/biscuits when returning at the end of the day.
Tips:The B&B is on a road that runs parallel to the sea front road and only 5 mins walk downhill to the seafront. Plenty of parking space but best to reverse in if you park on the drive. Restaurants limited due to Covid-19 but we ate at the Ormidale which was very reasonably priced, good portion sizes of pub grub and no need to book. Good Fisherman's Walk to take you to Brodick Castle which is definitely worth a visit.

This is the third time we have stayed at the Glenartney. Always a friendly and unrushed welcome. The bedrooms, lounges and dining room were all spotless and the breakfast tray, which is being served just now due to COVID restrictions, was delicious and plentiful. We wouldn’t think of staying anywhere else when in Brodick.

A really top-notch place to stay. Beautifully upgraded bedrooms and public rooms. Wonderful to have homemade cake on arrival. We were also really grateful for the opportunity to charge our bike and electric car. Amazing breakfast which so much care had been put in to. Thanks for all your hard work which gave us such a great stay. Will definitely be recommending Glenartney to others

Ross and Hannah obviously put a lot of thought into looking after their guests. The continental breakfast was delicious with special touches like the homemade stewed fruits. Covid regulations were well implemented and we felt very safe and secure. We enjoyed sitting in the comfortable lounge with the lovely views.
Tips:Wooleys Bakery is the place to go for great pies, filled rolls and cakes to takeaway for picnics. Arran is a beautiful place for walking and golfing. I'd also recommend a ferry trip from Lamlash to Holy Isle. Once there you can take a gentle walk along the shore or the more arduous route up across Mullach Beag (that's as far as we got before starting back down!) and Mullach Mor.

I was made to feel very welcome by both Hannah and Ross when arriving at Glenartney. With it being my first time on Arran, they provided plenty of suggestions for things to do on the island during my stay. They were both happy to help with any of my needs and made my visit really enjoyable.
Tips:I spent 4 days on Arran and found this gave me enough time to see some of its many sights, with plenty left to save for another visit! If you're without a car there are some good walks in Brodick that are in and around the Castle and Glen Rosa area which I'd recommend, after a visit to the Castle. There is a bike hire shop close to Glenartney which came in really handy for getting around without having to use my car. I hired an e-bike and cycled to Whiting Bay for the day to visit Glenashdale Falls. I'd definitely recommend a trip to the Lochranza Distillery as well, on the north of Arran, with another castle a short distance away. In Brodick there are some lovely places to eat. I was travelling alone so was lucky in that I didn't need to book a table in most places but there are a few where booking is advised. I visited The Parlour and Hunter's coffee shop on a few occasions. Along with The Ormidale and Brodick Bar and Brasserie. In Whiting Bay I visited The Coffee Pot. Everyone that I spoke with during my stay, at the various places I visited, was warm and friendly and really happy to help with anything I needed.

The Glenartney is a great place. The standard of accommodation is very high. Great location and facilities with everything you could need.
Tips:Many great places to eat in Brodick. The Douglas is lovely. The parlour for pizza and ice cream is fantastic but they have limited seating so be prepared for a small wait. The Mara Fish bar and Deli in Corrie for seafood is great… order the day before for collection. A trip to Brodick Castle and gardens are well worth a visit. Keep an eye out for the craft centres and shops along the road to Corrie.

Everything was great, the room had everything needed, it was comfortable nice clean and modern. Breakfast was very thoughtful and delicious. Hosts are very friendly and accessible, knowing we could text any questions put us at ease. Great value for money!!
Tips:We ate at the Douglas hotel, which was nice but slightly over priced in comparison to the cost and quality else where. Do eat at the crofters it was delicious + live music! We also are at Mara Fish Bar in Corrie which was really nice, reserve your food online before hand as they sell out. Also found the shore in whiting bay a great cafe straight on the beach, as well as botanical bar in Brodick. We did a whisky tasting in Lochranza which was fantastic, and two short walks - kings caves & giants graves + waterfall circular. Views all round were beautiful and easy to navigate.

Lovely stay at Glenartney and we really appreciated the personal touches such as homemade produce and cake. Public areas were lovely and staff very welcoming and friendly friendly. Everywhere was very clean and Covid secure and we felt quite safe. Room was spotless and beds very comfortable but if l had to be picky l would say the bathroom was very small and also there was no mirror to do my hair with near a socket for the hairdryer.
Tips:We ate at the Brodick Bistro, where the food was good but very expensive for very small portions and not much social distancing in place. We ate at Brambles in Auchrannie the second night and had a lovely dinner for half the price, and a table well distanced from others. Brodick Castle Gardens were a delight, Arran Distillery worth a visit and lots of lovely walks and drives. We loved the peace of Lamlash in particular.

The rooms were immaculate and cosy. Plenty tea and coffee etc and the home baking was an extra bonus. Breakfast was a delight. The only downfall was the showers. They are nowhere near powerful enough and if you want to use it handheld, the water does not flow properly and comes out as a trickle.

I was slightly apprehensive about the impact covid pandemic could have on our stay but this was quickly removed with the excellent protection measures introduced by Ross & Hannah combined with the content of the breakfast box which greatly helped negate not having a cooked breakfast.
Tips:I would recommend Cruize bar at the Auchrannie for an evening meal as they provide good quality food without the rip-off prices of a number of other local restaurants.

Glenartney was nothing short of outstanding. The rooms are cosy, clean and adorable and the staff made us feel at home. The beds and pillows were unbelievably comfy and the shower was fantastic. the breakfast was sooo yummy, A little tray with bits and bobs including HOMEMADE granola ! A really balanced breakfast perfect for an activity filled day and in our case climbing goatfell. They went above and beyond to make it feel like a home away from home, there were 2 lounges that you could use whenever you wanted and in the afternoon they left out home baking that you help yourself to which I think is just the cutest thing in the world. And to top it all off it’s in the best location ! I couldn’t recommend this place enough and I will definitely be returning on my future visits to Arran.
Tips:I would definitely recommend taking a car if you can as it gives you more flexibility to explore the island. Walks: glenrosa circuit, glenlashdale circular walk, lamlash to whiting bay board walk Activities: Arran botanical drinks (gin tasting), Brodick castle, kings cave and climbing goatfell Places to eat: Janies, the wine port, cruize restaurant

Second time staying at Glenartney and second stay home vacation, repeat what I have said on previous reviews it’s a home that is spotless clean , that just happens to be a very good hotel . We loved the breakfast with all the homemade touches, the home baking was a lovely touch and both of us were putting money into the Arran mountain rescue box as a thank you . Wonderful welcome from Hannah on arrival and attentive service from Ross throughout our stay. We had honeymooned here 50years ago and a bottle of bubbly was waiting in our room to celebrate our return. Ross was interested to hear about our stay then and see the original invoice we had. Continental Breakfast presented in jars on a wooden tray was delicious, homemade granola, fresh berries, poached fruits, ham, cheese and eggs. Homemade cake was welcome in the afternoon. The room was spotlessly clean with a view of Goatfell. Two sitting rooms were comfy and tastefully decorated.
Tips:The geology is all important. Lochranza Distillery tours, the Isle of Arran gin company, Arran Arromatics and the Coffee shop were highlights. Recommend Crofters bistro in Brodick.

We had a great stay. Only, the only thing we mentioned could have been improved was the strength of the shower. Ross underselling bread-making talent! Tell people you've made that bread! The quality of the breakfast was superb and set us up for the day. The lovely touches such as cake and setting our place for pizza one evening, lovely. We wouldn't hesitate in staying again.
Tips:Mara fish bar was recommended, but we ran out of time to eat there. The Parlour pizzas are tasty and good value. Crofters doing well on social media and some seem to think it's 'best meal' they've had, but that may depend on knowledge of food? Nice place for drink. Really friendly staff if a tad inexperienced still. Food was fresh and simple, but very, very expensive for what's being served. Fully supportive of what they seem to be heading for ethos wise, but prices are really high end and food not yet in that league, so that would put us off visiting again. PHT in Lamlash decent pub grub. Wine Port some lovely little plates and essential stop for that pint following a challenging walk up Goat Fell

Ross and Hannah provide a standard of service, facilities and support that other b&b/hoteliers should try and emulate. We have repeatedly returned to the Glenartney as it encapsulates everything good about holidaying on Arran. Heading home we always feel refreshed and rejuvenated.
Tips:We cycled, hillwalked and dined at night. Of the cafe/restaurants we used we found the Douglas hotel to be the best option for reasonable food, be it, prices are a bit high. The Crofters, newly reopened under new management, well worth supporting also.

This is an excellent B&B. Hannah and Ross are excellent hosts and nothing is too much trouble for them. The breakfast was wonderful and our room was very comfortable. We would always make this our 'first choice' place to stay on Arran.
Tips:At the time of writing (July 2021) it was becoming more difficult to find somewhere to eat in the evening because places were closing due to staff having to isolate. Plan to order take away meals and Hannah and Ross will set a table for you to eat them and a fridge for you to store drinks plus any snacks you buy to take out the next day with you.

Great place to stay, with superb views of the mountains and bay. Also, quiet, even though only a few minutes walk to the shorefront. Breakfast was a highlight of each day, fresh, homemade food which was delicious and set us up for each day. Best continental breakfast we have ever had! Hosts were really welcoming and good at sharing info and showing an interest in guests. The tray of home baking available each day was a really generous touch. Thanks. We will be back!
Tips:Turn left at the end of the driveway and there is a good, 3 mile walk through the woods to Lamlash.

Ross and Hannah were great. Lovely B&B right in the centre of Brodick, meeting all your needs, even during these difficult covid times. Full Covid safety measures in place but didn't feel restrictive on our holiday. The continental breakfast box was lovely and not your typical continental breakfast, full of fresh and homemade ingredients, and to come back at the end of an active day to home baking left out was lovely 😀. Would definatley recommend and go back

We stayed at the Glenartney for a couple of nights and I cannot fault any part of the experience. The staff were very welcoming and delivered excellent service. The room was clean and comfortable and had amazing views. The breakfast service was brilliant and we really enjoyed the high quality of this both mornings. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others visiting Arran.
Tips:The location is was very central for us during our stay. During our stay we visited the Douglas Hotel Bar and Bistro for dinner and drinks. This was only a 10 minute walk from the Glenartney and was easy to book online. We cloned Goatfell during our stay which was about a 20 minute walk to the beginning of the trail.

The best guest house we have stayed in so far. The room was spotless, bed super comfy, great location. Loved the bench outside in the garden. Breakfast was amazing, fresh/home-made produce. Also great host, very friendly. We can't recommend this place enough. We will definitely be back. Thank you very much:-)
Tips:We struggled a bit with local restaurants with some of them being still closed, the restaurants at the resort were only accommodating residents. I would highly recommend booking a restaurant well in advance as I left it until the last minute and then couldn't book anything. Arran is amazing, with lots of walks, lovely beaches and waterfalls. We were a bit disappointed with the cycling paths as most of them are steep, rocky, narrow paths not suitable for children so we won't be taking bikes next time.

Room had everything needed with fine views of the sea and Goat Fell. Great location - quiet but close to bars, restaurants, and shops in Brodick, and 10-15 minutes walk from the ferry terminal if crossing on foot. Ross was a great host, helpful and offering just the right amount of attention. Glenartney was we'll adapted to Covid and felt very safe. Breakfasts were excellent despite not being able to offer a full Scottish at this time.
Tips:Arran has a fantastic choice of walking for all levels and Brodick is a good base. Its neighbour Lamlash is also worth a visit. Eating out can be expensive but for really good quality and value try the Mara Fish Bar at Corrie.

An excellent and well-run guest house in which we have stayed twice and would have no hesitation in visiting again. The continental breakfast is quite ingenious and the beds are superbly comfortable.
Tips:Forget the big hotels! - the best dinner in Brodick is to be found in the Brodick Bar, just 300 yards down the hill. An unprepossessing frontage, but a great little restaurant - it's a case of not judging a book by its cover.

Thank you for a great stay - we have added comments to Trip Advisor but again the way in which you had still a personal touch despite also having to cope with the Covid-19 requirements was much appreciated. Rooms were immaculate and great size - we also loved the decor and personal touches in way the breakfast was served, really lovely touches. We hope to return at some point! Wishing you a more "normal" year ahead.
Tips:We used Otter's Tail for kayaking - chap Andrew who owns it was great - very personable and knowledgeable. We would certainly recommend and we were all novices. We had not as a family done a longer walk together and walked Glen Rosa - thoroughly recommend it. as you will know it is lovely but for those not knowing Arran - its got the combination of great beginner/intermediary walk with stunning, dramatic views you won't forget! Restaurants we went to: - cafe on the old pier at Lamlash: great baking and sandwiches. -Brodick bar and grill (probably was my favourite) for both service and food. - Cruise at Auchrannie: again good food, nice staff and very relaxed and family friendly in the restaurant - Douglas hotel, all ok just ensure as it is popular and they consider themselves "popular" that you ensure what you book is what you get. - Parlour: ice cream, delicious! - Arran Botanicals: whether you like gin or not , lovely bar area on the beach with great cocktails and mocktails -Corrie Hotel : again lovely staff and good food: such a lovely beer garden looking over the water.

Welcoming and friendly staff, excellent breakfast. Location is perfect. Great view from the room we had overlooking Brodick Bay.
Tips:Hikes around Goatfell, Cir Mhor etc. We didn't manage to during this stay but would have liked to walk Glenrosa. Worth taking car or hiring on arrival, a trip around the whole island is good for visiting other attractions like the Kings Caves, Machrie standing stones. Doesn't take long to circumnavigate. Next time I return will bring my golf clubs too, lots of nice courses across the island. Some really nice wildlife too

Glenartney was a beautiful B&B in a perfect location for travelling around Arran. The owners are a lovely couple who were very accomodating and welcoming during our stay. Breakfast was a great way to start the day, and we were able to come and go from the B&B whenever we pleased.
Tips:Road signs display directions towards the Glenartney show you where to go - very convenient if you tend to get lost, or even if you don't want to bother with Google maps. Lots of lovely restaurants and pubs nearby, with Brodick Brasserie just round the corner from Glenartney. Short walk to Goatfell ascent - prepare for some sore legs on the way home though!

Had a wonderful two night stay over the September weekend. Ross was very welcoming when we arrived slightly before the official check-in, and made us feel at home. Our room was excellent, very clean with all amenities we could need, including a hairdryer. And we had an incredible view of Goatfell from our window. The breakfast tray was fantastic - croissants, yoghurt, homemade granola and poached pears, berries, cheese, ham and boiled eggs, plus toast, porridge, tea and coffee and juice. We didn't need any lunch either day! All Covid regulations were being followed to the letter, and we felt very relaxed. The B&B is just a short walk up the hill from Brodick front, and a great location to explore the island from. Would definitely stay here again.
Tips:The Ormidale in Brodick is great for a relaxed pub meal, and no need to book unlike a lot of other local restaurants. The Drift Inn along in Lamlash has a lovely beer garden with a fabulous view over to Holy Isle. The only negative thing about our stay was the quality of the breakfast. We were informed upon booking that it would be a continental breakfast which was fine but the quality and portion was very poor. A party of two, we were served with one slice of toast each, although told we could order more. One portion of butter each and small portion of cold meat and one egg between the two of us. If you are just serving Continental, then I would advise that you improve the quantity. I can understand that you do not want waste but a rack of toast and even an egg each together with a selection of meats and cheese would be more appropriate. You have a lovely guest house which we have stayed in on a few occasions, so it is a shame that you are falling a bit flat with breakfast. If you upgraded your breakfast then yes I would recommend your establishment to others

I would recommend the Glenartney if you staying in Arran , Ross and Hannah could not do enough for you , they are very helpful with advice on where to go. Yes the bedroom is on the small side we stayed in but it was perfect and the home baking being left out and leave a donation to Arran mountain rescue box was a lovely touch . Thank you and we will be back to the Glenartney

What an amazing room and welcoming place to stay (especially during COVID)! We booked everything so last minute but were thrilled with how welcomed we felt and how easily our requests to store bikes was accommodated. Breakfast was delicious and we had so much we got to take some snacks for the road. Would love to visit again one day. Thanks for everything!

Simply outstanding. Despite this difficult time due to COVID-19. We received a warm welcome along with details of what we could do to make our stay as safe as possible for ourselves and others. Glenartney is a beautiful guest house up to the highest speck. Lots of extras including 2 lounges for guests. The yummiest of cakes and a fantastic breakfast with lots of homemade goodies and local produce. Comfortable bedroom. Only request would be to consider changing the shower room to a wet room due to limited space.
Tips:You can walk down to the town within a few minutes. We enjoyed, as always fantastic food. This time at The Crofters and the Drift Inn. Definitely book ahead. Places to try treat yourself a trip on the Mogabout. Alex knows he’s stuff. The 40 walks of Arran is a great book to use. We always enjoy the boardwalk over to the Winepot /Castle. Enter behind the co-op. The Heritage Museum another great place to visit. Their foods great too. Buy the Arran Banner it always helps with ideas of what to do. Also check out website VisitArran.

Immaculately decorated and very clean with loads of little extras like home baking, two lounges for guest use, extra bathrooms you could use for a bath, lots of recommendations about the island. We’ve stayed in Aaran a few times and this was -by far- our nicest visit because of Glenartney.

There were nice touches, such as being able to get a jug of fresh milk for your room and fresh cakes/biscuits for you to help yourself to every afternoon. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Tips:We loved the standing stones, a bit of a trek, but worth it. The Heritage Museum was also great, with a lovely café and friendly staff. You can use the café without visiting the museum for a charge of 50p per person (though we were allowed in for free on the 2nd day as we had paid for the museum the day before). The Glenartney is a beautiful guest house. It is very clean with modern furnishings and several comfortable lounges to relax in. We had a lovely warm welcome on arriving. not only were there the expected tea making facilities in our room, but you could help yourself to the tea/coffee making machines downstairs & enjoy with some home baking in the lounge areas- which we promptly did! our room was compact but the view from the window more than made up for that & we would happily book the twin room again for our girlie getaway! overall the house felt clean and cared for. The breakfast was also amazing with so many choices of hot and cold food inc GF , veggie etc if required. We felt very at home here and for a B&B it certainly went above and beyond. thanks Glenartney for making a good weekend break great!
Tips:We decided to drive round the whole island in the full day we had there. we managed this while doing 3 walks. we stopped for the walk out to Fallen Rocks and stopped at lochranza castle( free) for lunch. travelled on to the Machrie stone circles and burials which is a good easy walk... just careful you dont miss the car park - it basically a break in the hedge... then finished our day with a walk up to the Glenashdale falls and giants graves above Whiting bay. lovely view here over to the Holy Isle. Fantastic day which did not feel hurried - amazing atomospheric Arran - we will be back. only thing to watch out for on the island is getting booked for dinner- especially if you want to enjoy any music. book your table for the time the music starts or you will find your table will be booked for someone after you and you cant stay to enjoy it. You must take a look at the heritage museum in Brodick - loads of information and some fun stuff for the kids there. you can walk there and back mostly along the beach and over the golf course watching the ferries come and go! lovely island and lovely people.

Our room was described as a 'cosy double' and we had been advised in advance that it was small. Having stayed at innumerable B and Bs a room of this size would, however, normally only ever be offered as a single. A top sheet to use instead of the quilt on a warm night would also have been welcomed. Breakfast was good, as was the service. The Glenartney appears to operate more as a small hotel rather than a B and B and is therefore less relaxed and 'homely ' than many.
Tips:The Brodick Bar is an excellent restaurant, if a little expensive. The bar meals at the Douglas Hotel are also very good, especially the 'sandwich menu ' available until 5.oo PM. Places on Arran worth visiting include Kildonan, Blackwaterfoot (the Best Western Hotel serves excellent coffee after 11.00 am) and the Mara Fish Bar in Corrie for fabulous seafood- but get there by 12.00 noon to be sure of a seat in high season.

Absolutely lovely team, Ross, Hannah and the team are superb- from chatting to guests and providing an amazing breakfast! ( lots of locally sourced foods), to baking their own bread and sweet treats- and providing homemade cake for guests to enjoy in the afternoon, The Glenartney is our B&B of choice now. You are left alone in peace at The Glenartney, but if you need info, advice etc the team don’t hesitate to assist. We had to change our ferry the day of departure which meant tight timing for breakfast. Ross made sure we had time to eat and we got the ferry.. thank you Ross and team! Lots of touches at The Glenartney including a lovely outdoor seating area to enjoy the view from and a fridge to store items in were excellent. Very tastefully decorated and well maintained building. We had damp wetsuits in our vehicle from kayaking and we even had the offer of a drying area to help get them dried out. They really know what travelling guests need and provide so many extras. This was our 2nd visit and we will be booking a 3rd very soon.
Tips:Superb location, less then 10 minute walk from Brodick ferry terminal and has views onto Brodick beach and bay, very quiet location. Post office at bottom of road, pubs and restaurants nearby. Recommend a trip to Corrie Hotel too for the beer garden and you pass Arran Cheese, Arran Aromatics, and The Wineport - ( another superb beer garden!) en route from which is accessed the route to Goatfell...We also recommend the 3km woodwalk to Lamlash which starts just up the track from The Glenartney. This is an easy walk which drops you into Lamlash, viewpoints on way too ( walking boots required). So many other things to do, ideally get a day pass for the bus to move around, very reliable but they do stop quite early in evening and Sundays are reduced timetable. Walks to Glen Rosa also superb, bring midge spray though! Overall Glenartney is a great place to stay. 5 stars from us.

99% perfect, and that's being fussy. A really well sorted and presented guest house, with friendly people and really good standards. The rooms were very clean and comfortable, the breakfasts excellent.
Tips:It's a short (perhaps 10 minute) walk from the ferry and main bus stops, so you really can visit without a car - we did and it was fine. The local eatery (Bar & Brasserie) is very close by but felt expensive and in our opinion not good value. Goat Fell - you need to be fit and confident to get to the top, but if you are lucky enough to get there when it isn't draped in cloud (we weren't) I am sure the views are amazing. Brodick Castle gardens are worth a visit - we think for all ages. Don't rely on the buses 'joining up' - if one is delayed due to traffic or dithering numpties or whatever, the connecting service won't wait around for more than a couple of minutes. If you get stuck, though, it'll be a beautiful place to get stuck!

Hotel is beautiful, room was great, breakfast was amazing and the staff were really friendly, approachable and happy to chat/advise. We've been to Arran a lot and will definitely be returning here! The location is perfect, up a wee hill in Brodick with an outstanding view of the beach and Goatfell. We were sad about leaving!
Tips:The Ormidale is nearby and their folk music sessions are great for local vibe. Walking around Brodick (and Arran in general) is great for just finding things!

Clean accomodation for a bed and breakfast. Unfortunately the room even for one night was very small and worse we did not have an on-suite bathroom. The Glenartney did supply bathrobes to go down the corridor to get a bath or use the bathroom. But this was inconvenient for us and took away the experience. Breakfast was very good and the friendliness of the staff we met was also good so a shame we had such a small room and no on-suite facility.
Tips:Ask for on suite. LOcation clos eto the main town and convenient but rather small room is possible.

I would highly recommend this lovely B & B. Although we were in a ‘cosy double’ room It had everything we required for our short stay. The house is spotlessly clean. As we were visiting family who were on holiday nearby we didn’t make use of the nice lounges or garden so we will be back to enjoy the full experience. Breakfast was lovely and freshly cooked. Hosts were very friendly and Ross was most helpful in giving us recommendations for places to take our grandchildren. Thanks for a lovely stay.

What a fantastic place, this is how all venues should run their establishments. Made very welcome on arrival the place is spotless, with the benefit of two lounges where you can sit in the evening with other people, tea and coffee facilities in the rooms and near the lounges. Cakes and tray-bakes available, they will even set a table for you if you want a takeaway in the evening. I cannot recommenced this place highly enough.
Tips:Great position on the island for local shops and eating houses.

The owners at this B@B were excellent hosts and always willing to answer questions about Aaron. My room was so pretty and the bed was most comfortable. The shower was perfect with plenty of hot water. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t live up to my expectations with rain for three days. Typical Scottish weather.
Tips:If you are walking, there is a shortcut past the playground swings which leads to a path along the sea and through the golf course and back to the road to the castle. The castle was worth a visit and you can return by steps through the woodland gardens back down to the distillery and road. This is a beautiful path but very slippery in the rain

My mother and I recently enjoyed a girls' getaway on Arran, staying at the Glenartney for 4 nights. We were both immensely satisfied with our stay, and were indeed quite sad to leave! The location was perfect, and the views to die for. Everything was immaculately clean, and the entire place is beautifully decorated. We loved our room (Cladach), as well as enjoying a bit of time in the afternoons/evenings in the lounge areas. The baked goods and tea/coffee facilities are a definite added bonus. Breakfast each morning was delicious and served quickly. Ross and Hannah were excellent, friendly hosts. We hope to see you all again next year!

Lovely house, garden, hosts and staff. Very comfortable facilities. We had an excellent stay. Two small suggestions about the room Iorsa - 1. toilet roll holder is in an awkward position behind the toilet; would it be possible to have a free-standing toilet roll dispenser? 2. Could a coat hook for the back of the main bedroom door be considered?

Tips:For food I'd strongly recommend the "Crofters", a lovely pub with frequent live music and fantastic food. An insider tip for travellers: Visit the Holy Isle via the ferry at Lamlash bay. If you do so, inquire about the ferry times though, since the transfer times are highly dependent on tides and weather conditions.
