Another great stay this weekend, we were lucky to book one of the suites with a balcony at the front of the hotel which gave us a great view of the fireworks and bonfire on Saturday night. We got chatting to our neighbours on the other balcony and all had a great night. We've stayed here a few times now and we always look forward to staying again!

Lovely welcome from Isla and the rest of the team, we felt welcome from the moment we crossed the threshold of the place. Isla helped me with my luggage as I've ot been too well lately and we were taken to our room at the top of the place. The view was breathtaking and the room although compact had everything we needed although the bed and the duvet were a little smaller than we are used to. The Hotel bar was tastefully done out and the ornaments, wallpaper, pictures were very much to our liking and was a nice relaxed place to retire to after a day's walking. We used to have our last drink there then retire to bed. The restaurant was usually full showing how popular it was with residents and passers by also. We ate here twice during our 4 night stay and the food was superb. I had the pork and seaweed sausages one night and pulled pork pizza the next. My wife had Sea bass and prawns one night and the Blade of beef the next. All in all the experience was lovely and we would happily come again.

We came over to the Isle on foot and found the buses to be timeous. We went into Brodick one day on the 323 but were quite disappointed as there wasn't much there apart from the marvellous view so we were happy to get back to Lamlash as quickly as possible. I would suggest bringing a car as we were quite restricted as to venturing out. We loved Lamlash and if you are happy with quiet bars, one very good cafe, lots of dogs, also a lovely long promenade to walk up and down and take in the great view of Holy Isle then this is the place for you. We came because we had never been to the Scottish Isles before and this was the easiest to get to from Sale. We came by train via Glasgow, Ardrossan, Brodick.

Having stayed at the Lamlash Bay before, once again we found standards to be high. Wonderful location overlooking the Holy Isle, excellent food and freindly and helpful staff all contributed to an enjoyable stay.

Rooms at the front overlooking the sea do add that bit extra, however all rooms are furnished to a good standard throughout.

Very welcoming friendly staff. Great location with uninterrupted views of The Holy Isle. This hotel is very comfortable and the bar is cosy and warm . Our room was really lovely and enjoyed the balcony even in the rain . We were blown away by the food it really was exceptional. This is a great hotel and although busy is very quiet at night and you will have a restful sleep .

Parking is on the street in front of the hotel so it is free . Great hotel and stay for dinner as the food is fab . Great staff

1. Why not include some salads in your dinner menu - perhaps chicken caesar salad & a few others would be nice to choose from. 2. It would be nice to have a selection of teas being offered in the bedrooms, rather than just being offered normal tea. (However, I brought my own tea with me to make sure I could have what I wanted)! It would be nice to have larger bath towels, yet I am only small in size! Apart from the above, I can't fault the hotel. Thank you for a nice stay! :)

Recommend a visit to Arran Heritage Museum, friendly, helpful and welcoming staff, lots of interesting Arran history and brilliant cafe too. Brodick Castle & Gardens well worth a day out. There were plenty of interest for children and adults all day long. All facilities excellent. Visit to King's Caves and Machrie Stones well worth the effort but check on what else might be open on your route first. Will certainly come back to Arran.

The hotel has maintained a high standard for a number of years. The plants/ weeds at the front need tidied up and a knife for your side plate at breakfast would mean you didn’t get egg yolk in your butter and jam on your toast. These are very minor points and overall everything was clean, the food was good and the staff were very friendly. Ross and Grace were great. Meg the owner is very pleasant as well and you just can’t beat the views from the hotel. It is a shame it is for sale as the current owners both do a great job and I wish them well for their future.

Go and enjoy but keep your eye on the ferries, they are subject to a lot of cancellations.

Just stayed 2 nights at the Lamlash Bay Hotel what a lovely hotel with great views and friendly staff you had plenty to choose from also had a evening meal 😋 the bar was very relaxing and cosy. Perfect location on Arran, beautiful views, friendly, helpful staff, excellent breakfasts and dinners. The family suite was spacious, quiet and had good facilities. Double mattress was very soft (not our preference), and the shower towels were small.

You could find cheaper accommodation and food on Arran, but it was well worth it.

All staff were very welcoming and professional and made us feel very much at home during our stay. The view across to Holy Island was magnificent, and the food in the hotel restaurant was of a very high standard.

Lamlash Bay is a beautiful location, and certainly one of the prettiest villages on Arran. It is served by a good range of local facilities. Taking a day trip to Holy Island is well worth doing.

Primium room prices with poor amenities ,no shower cap makeup remover pads cotton buds, tissue etc and watered down shower/shampoo gel, with a stay of 4 nights we would expect a bed change after two nights. This had to be requested after three nights, breakfast was OK but no salmon or smoked fish on offer after all its on a fishing island .

What a wonderful stay. We had spectacular forest cycles, no take zone snorkels and a lovely cosy room to retreat to. We were fueled by the best breakfast we've had in a long time...generous and cooked to perfection.. The hotel is a great social space...snug pub and lively restaurant. The staff are the best. The Octopus centre is a really moving account of a communities fight to save their marine environment from destructive fishing methods. There's a really high quality interactive exhibition. The hotel is slap bang between that and the recommended snorkel trail sites. We saw relaxed flatfish, the biggest brown crab I have ever seen and gobies, star fish and wrasse...amazing! Just watch out for the seals...they need at least 100m distance to feel safe. Wonderful to see them hauled out stretching and relaxing in the sun along with herons and oyster catchers. Thank you Lamlash bay hotel for being so perfectly positioned.

We had a wonderful 3 nights stay at the hotel. We stayed in room 1, which is a large, bright, comfortable room with the benefit of a lovely balcony and great views of the bay, Holy Island and beyond. It's a good idea to choose a time for breakfast and to pre-order what we wanted as everything was ready for us in the morning. We enjoyed a meal at the hotel and enjoyed sitting on our balcony watching the sun go down. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend the hotel to other travellers. We look forward to our next stay at the Lamlash Bay Hotel.

Hello Raymond, I am pleased I had the opportunity to follow up on your issue after your stay. At around 8pm you had an issue with a toilet cistern that wasn't flushing properly resulting in a running water noise. The hotel was full so there was no option to move you to another room so I tried the next solution which was to fix the problem. One of the staff had come to see if there was anything he could do and suggested you keep your bathroom door closed for the noise. Miraculously I found a plumber who could come out at 10.30pm but you had informed us that you were tired and didn't want to be disturbed. The plumber came at 8am instead and had the issue fixed in minutes whilst you had breakfast. We are a small business and don't have a live in plumber, some people wait months on the island to get a plumber so I put it to you that under the circumstances we had done our best. Despite the wonderful comments we receive about the staff, I think you were disappointed that although both my husband were both working on your arrival day and departure day( the following morning) we weren't present to deal with you personally and the 2 stars are directed at us rather than our staff. We have reached out to you over this problem as our guest experience is what drives us to succeed in our business. Being on Four in a Bed has been wonderful for the hotel. We didn't apply to go on the show, they called us due to a cancellation, we agreed and filming commenced the next day. It was very much what you see is what you get. Although the show brought lots of new guests, our excellent reviews date back prior to the show and in the 8 years we have been running the hotel we have been consistently busy with good feedback. So " Living off Four in a Bed " is not accurate as we have enjoyed a long success on Arran. When we spoke on the phone I asked you how you found the room which was decorated only a year ago. You said you were happy with the room. When I asked you about breakfast and thanked you for dining with us the night before you said the food was good and the staff pleasant but that we were very busy and short staffed. ( We discussed hospitality wise this is the case country wide and you lived in a tourist area and understood the challenges). Although we are sorry to hear that you wouldn't recommend us I am glad to establish that you did enjoy some elements of your stay. When probed on where exactly you thought lots of money needed spending ( we continually work and have done much to upgrade the hotel) you said we had lost our kerbside appeal and that the front looked poor and shabby. Our planters were in the process of being painted and the inner pots removed for the new bedding plants going in. You said we should have had that done by now but I explained that on the island the new bedding plants are only arriving now into the garden shops. I reflected on what you saw and thought and put up signs to say "planters in progress" to avoid other people thinking we have given up on our business! You can try to find a Superior Room with a 4 poster bed, panelled wall painted with Farrow and Ball paint, comfy seating area, on the sea front facing the Holy Isle with a restaurant serving great food and a cosy well stocked bar on site for half the price but you won't. Arran’s hidden gem! Visiting Arran, this is a must go to hotel. Both quaint and quirky it welcomes you in with open arms. Each member of staff will go out of their way to have a wee chat, to have a laugh with you and to make sure your every need is met. One lady with blonde hair, who sings as she works ( and she works hard and sings well ) was particularly helpful and genuinely interested to find out how our day had gone. For us those special little things in the hotel meant a lot. We were celebrating our Silver Wedding Anniversary, with one of us being very ill and not being able to travel for a long time this wee break was much needed and the staff here made sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotel is spotless, with hints of the Scottish humour scattered throughout. The decor is homely and modern. With local artists displaying their works on their walls, and local artisan businesses all part of the running of the hotel - from butchers to bathroom luxuries - it just works! Having tried the local ‘resort’ menu, I can say the food at The Lamlash Bay hotel is not only better value for money but much tastier. Finally, the setting - you cannae beat it! The view of the Holy Isle is superb from this hotel, with boat trips direct from the bay. The location has a great transport link with bus stops just meters from the hotel. Check all timetables though as there can be a wait between buses at the other side of the island.

Great little hotel with the best view on the island of the Holy Isle. Food was amazing and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Nice bar as well. Will definitely come again.

Great base for touring the island and plenty to do if you love walking along beautiful coastlines and water activities. Good bus service at reasonable prices and frequency. Would recommend the boat trip to the Holy Isle and if you are fit enough climb the peak. You can do it all in under 3 hours. Lamlash is nice little village with a beautiful front.

A beautiful sea front hotel. Room 4 was very spacious and the beds were extremely comfortable. There were a few crisp crumbs left from a previous resident behind a bedside cabinet. The room was otherwise spotless. The corridor to the bedrooms had a stale bathroom smell. Once in the bedroom there was no sign of it at all. The staff are cheery , helpful and a credit to the hotel.

Book early to avoid missing out on a wonderful hotel in an amazing location.

My only concern was the amount of dogs staying at the hotel (3 or 4 rooms out of 11 contained dogs). Although they were not allowed in the restaurant they took up 4 tables in the bar area during the dining times. I don’t know if that area was cleaned before other people sat there.

Dear Guests, we are indeed dog friendly! At times there are no dogs and at other times there are a few rooms with dogs. Having the bar and restaurant separate and only allowing dogs in the bar allows us to serve food in both areas whereby people who prefer to eat not around dogs can do so. Very pleasantly surprised by room upgrade. Fabulous view, brilliant service. The food was excellent and not over-priced. Already looking forward to returning.

Look out for the artwork on the walls in the restaurant as it is all for sale and we picked up a lovely ainting to remind us of our trip. The specials on the evening menu were the same on both days we stayed (understandable) but there is plenty of choice on the standard menu to provide variety. Top quality and great service.

Lovely well run hotel which we have returned to time and time again. Staff are efficient, friendly and helpful and can't do enough for you. Meg and Serge are there to welcome you and as owners, very visible. Good choice of food on the dinner menu and always delicious. Special mention for the porridge in the morning, best I have tasted anywhere! Rooms are well appointed...although a chocolate biscuit/ shortbread on the tea tray wouldn't go amiss! Replenishing the bottles of water would be a nice touch too.

Book a sea facing room as the view over to the Holy Isle is just magnificent! Enjoy a drink in the bar, no need to go anywhere else, friendly, great service and book a table in advance if you want a specific time. Just enjoy the island, so much to see and do. Use the public transport too, great way to travel around the island.

Fantastic stay. Spotlessly clean hotel situated right opposite the water. Great views. Meg and her husband are so friendly as are all the staff. Honestly, every member of staff excelled in customer service whilst being friendly and fun!! We had delicious breakfast and dinner in the evening - food wonderful. The bar was comfy and so friendly. Great prices too. Would highly recommend Lamlash Bay. We will certainly return. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful break from Pauline, Derek, Margaret and Ian.

Book early for dinner. We stayed in two rooms one with a small balcony with panoramic view and the other with a dual aspect view. The latter was larger and had lovely sea views too. Have a few drinks in the bar at night, the staff are great fun and attentive. Prices very competitive.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Room 10 and the beautiful view of Holy Isle and the beach. The room was spotless with a spacious ensuite. There was no faffing about trying to regulate the shower, which can be a real pain when you are extremely short-sighted! The staff were courteous, friendly and attentive. Although we had breakfast every morning, my one regret was that we only dined in the hotel on the final evening of our three night stay. Dinner was excellent, had we known the high standard of catering, we would have dined in every night. We adjourned later to the bar which had lovely big comfortable easy chairs. This was our first visit to the Lamlash Bay Hotel but will not be our last.

Room 10 is at the top of the building accessed by stairs, so not suitable if you have mobility issues but when you get to the top the view from the window is fabulous.

Welcoming staff to a beautifully situated hotel on seafront. The rooms are spotless, the bar is welcoming and the restaurant has an excellent menu which never disappoints. There is ample parking nearby. I highly recommend this delightful hotel.

Intriguing shops and restaurants are easily within walking distance. The ferry is essential when leaving the island and staff are always happy to advise re times etc.

Amazing stay at Lamlash Bay Hotel. The location is stunning and the staff are attentive and friendly, the food is fabulous and the beds are super comfy. They took amazing care of me and I was so sad to leave, but I'll definitely be back.

I can recommend the signature dish of pan fried seabass and the pizzas, delicious! Breakfast menu is also fabulous. Have a pre breakfast walk on the beach. If you're a foot passanger, use the calmac website, they have a journey planner to help you coordinate buses and ferries.

Warm and friendly welcome, and very efficient restaurant service. The allocated time slot for breakfast and evening meal works really well, with minimal waiting time and delicious warm, freshly made food.

Watch out for Calmac, can't believe that they tie up ships since they were unable to adequately tie down my motorcycle for a relatively calm crossing back to Ardrossan.

We had a lovely Anniversary stay in Room 3 with such a stunning view from the balcony. Staff very helpful and friendly, we had both breakfast and evening meal and everything cooked perfectly.

Brodick Castle well worth a visit with lovely gardens to wander through. If you are a whiskey drinker the distillery at Lochranza had tasting sessions but due to renovations the tour wasn’t available at this time. We saw seals basking in the rocks close to Lamlash Bay. The Auchrannie Resort had a lovely Seafood bistro and leisure facilities.

Amazing location, staff lovely very welcoming. Disappointed with amount of dogs in bar. Not all but some bar staff and restaurant staff made a fuss of dogs and only 1 member off staff washed hands before carrying on with their duties. Chairs in dinning room need attention most were stained others had tatty loose coverings. Evening meals were top class the only thing to spoil this was music too loud didn't need so many speakers. I chose Isle of Arran for my special birthday and wasn't dissapointed.

This is an exceptional hotel, with exceptional staff, whether in the hotel itself; or the restaurant, they made me feel really welcomed and valued as a customer. They knew I was there for wildlife photography and went out of their way to identify locations for me, making recommendations that really paid off. The location itself is directly opposite the Holy Island which the sun rises directly behind, giving outstanding early morning vistas. The food in the bar, and breakfast was fantastic, and very filling (they do not skimp on portions - thankfully). Would I recommend this hotel - hell yes!!

Lochranza is the hot-spot for most of the wildlife, which is only a 25min drive away, but has very few facilities there. So a stay in Lamlash, and a drive through outstanding scenery to get to Lochranza was a winner for me.
