15th April 2015:
Myself and my sister had a wonderful two nights in Carrick Lodge, a welcome treat after a week in different hostels. We couldn't fault it!
Tips:Rent a bike from Tom at the shore apartments in Brodick! We did and cycled up the coast to Sannox, absolutely beautiful. Also be sure to check the bus timetable before you set off on any bus as we didn't and got stranded in Lochranza for two and a half hours. Although if you were to be stranded anywhere, you couldn't find a more stunning, peaceful place!

Amazing single room in this lovely guest house, the best room I stayed in on my travels around Scotland! Extremely handy for when arriving from the ferry! The location is excellent meaning the island is easily accessible. A definite recommendation for anyone going to this area!

29th October 2014:
Excellent service a real homely feel, the living room was excellent with hubdreds of books and board games and the views were spectacular. Breakfast was fantastic, with traditional Scottih breakfast items, the black pudding was amazing! The rooms were cosy and warm especially after coming back from a day of being soaked through and battered by the wind! Thank you for everything!!
Tips:Arrive in the dining room early to bag the much desired window seat with amazing views over the sea and to goat fell and the castle on a clear day. The Arran lamb, pricey at £21 but absolutely worth it at the Brodick Bar. Be warned that the fishermans walk/costal path is partial to flooding, we hopped up onto the golf course , just try not to get caught out!

Lovely house and room at a good price for single accomodation. Have recommended it to a few people on holy isle as many need somewhere to stay coming off and on the island and there aren't many single rooms available. Would definitely stay again. Thanks
Tips:Visit Holy Isle for the day! Beautiful walks and views

The room was spotless, the shower fantastic the breakfast room bright, fresh and views lovely. Breakfast was great. Thanks so much for a lovely stay.
Tips:Loved climbing Goatfell and the coastal walk to Lamlash. The beach is lovely and peaceful and the walk up to the castle and the gardens there both gorgeous. We liked the Fiddlers restaurant very much. Also the bar and brasserie opposite the post office is lovely for a meal. The Wineport great for coffee and a scone (clandach centre). Heritage museum very interesting. Old pier tearoom at Lamlash lovely for lunch/ coffee.

Lovely location, lovely room and views and kind staff. Nice BIG breakfasts.
Tips:We enjoyed live music and whiskey in the fiddlers inn, and a delicious dinner at plate of Arran. We rented bikes and rode over to the distillery (WARNING: VERY BIG HILLS, but beatiful views. It took us the whole day 10am-18pm)

LOVELY OLD HOUSE.VERY CLEAN & SPACIOUS WITH GREAT VIEWS FROM THE LARGE WINDOWS. THOUGHT A TOWN CENTRE LOCATION WOULD HAVE BEEN MORE CONVENIENT BUT CARRICK LODGE WELL WORTH THE SHORT WALK TO HAVE THE VIEWS & GREEN SURROUNDINGS WHICH MAKE IT SO RELAXING.SUPER BREAKFAST.GREAT STAY - THANKYOU !
Tips:FIDDLERS IN TOWN IS A GREAT PLACE FOR FOOD & LIVE MUSIC. IF INTERESTED IN SEEING WILDLIFE IT IS PROBABLY BETTER TO BOOK AN ORGANISED TRIP FOR FIRST ARRAN VISIT. NOT EASY TO SPOT & ONLY AT CERTAIN TIMES.

4th June 2014:
Comfortable room, helpful owners/staff, excellent breakfast
Tips:Auchrannie restaurants are very good and provide a wide range of different styles of food. The whole island is worth exploring for its diversity of scenery. There are some excellent short walks as well as the more strenuous mountain hikes. Suggest the book "Arran 40 Favourite Walks" by Phil Turner, published by Pocket Mountains as a useful pocket sized guide.
