I had a great stay at Burlington House. It's in a beautiful location just opposite the sea with stunning views. Nicole was a wonderful host, friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delish.

Lamlash Bay Hotel was great for dinner - really friendly staff and cosy environment with a woodburner and comfy furniture. The Drift Inn was also very good - welcoming staff and lovely location and food.

This place is magical and I will definitely return. I was late booking and late arriving but Nicole made me feel so at ease. This turned out to be a most amazing weekend. I will never forget this. Thankyou to all at the Burlington. Disliked · There was nothing I didn't like.

Wake up early and walk on Lamlash beach! Have an Arran Whisky @ The Lamlash Bay hotel (and dinner) and Fish and Chips at the bus Station in Brodick. You wont regret your Ferry to Arran. Amazing

I loved staying here. The staff were really friendly and welcoming to my dog as well. Really made us feel at home..the view from our bedroom was incredible and getting out onto the beach was even better. At night there were so many stars and in the morning the water looked silver it was beautiful. My only note would be that we struggled to work the heaters and only managed to work one. Also we found out late that dogs weren't allowed into the breakfast room or even where the breakfast room was as there was no sign and it's just to say that it would have been helpful to know that in advance to know what to expect I feel a note in the room to explain how to use the heaters would also be helpful. Otherwise it was perfect

We got a takeaway pizza from the parlour and it was great. Little on the dear side as pizzas were small (9 inches maybe) for 13 quid each but it was really tasty and well made especially the pepperoni.

An excellent guest house in a beautiful location. The room was large, light and had excellent facilities including large tv and coffee machine. The breakfast was lovely and the buffet style continental offering was well appreciated. The staff are fantastic and could not do enough for you. Dog friendly and a great place to relax. Bonus is check out at 11am so did not feel rushed or pushed out of the door.

Local shop and pub are great. Excellent beach and play park for kids/dog. No phone signal which not bother us as the hotel had great wifi.

We had a fabulous stay at the Burlington in Whiting Bay. The room had a magnificent view over the water and with three windows it was just superb. An extremely comfortable bed meant we had a very sound sleep and all the facilities within our room just added to our stay. They are extremely generous with the tea and coffee items in the room, which was a refreshing change compared to most hotel rooms where we have stayed! Breakfast was superb! You fill in a little slip the night before with your preferences and leave this on the table at reception, as well as which of the two times you would prefer to eat. It was a delicious and very full plate of Scottish breakfast for us and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff we met were just delightful, and very helpful. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend them to our friends and family. We will certainly return to the Burlington soon.

We were only staying for the one night so didn’t really do a lot of sightseeing as we were visiting a friend but we did have a lovely lunch at a gorgeous wee spot near Kildonan- at the forest trails. They served the most delicious, homemade soups, with toasted cheese rolls! There were also burgers and hotdogs on the menu, which looked fabulous when they were coming out to be served to other tables. For dinner we had a table reserved at Lamlash Bay Hotel and it was fabulous!! Definitely a chef that knows his way around fish! The sea bass was cooked to perfection and the Haddock was crisp and delicious. Very generous portions so we could only manage some Arran ice cream as our dessert. A terrific meal served by some delightful staff.

This was the perfect location with the nicest bay on the island on the doorstep for dog walkies. It still gets you back into Brodick via Lamlash in 15 minutes for the best road over to the west side of the island. Mara fish bar if it’s open and go talk to Willie at Machire Bay if you’re golfing!

Room was beautiful with great view and coffee machine and en-suite bathroom was great. The shower was quite difficult to get at a good temperature (either very hot or very cold not much in between) & the pressure came and went I’m assuming as other people were also trying to use the facilities. Some of the bedside lights were flickering and buzzing a lot so we decided not to use incase fire hazard. Otherwise stay was great, good value for money & great breakfast. We have stayed here before under different owners and we are glad to be back always.

Everyone we encountered was pleasant kind and helpful. Room was very comfortable and warm with splendid views.

We took advantage of discount offered and ate at Pierhead Tavern where food and service were excellent. We travelled round the island stopping to enjoy the views. Shopped at the Byre at Machrie, the distillery at Lichranza, Woolley and the Chocolate Shop. Found a couple of books at well kept Charity shop at Ferry terminsl.

We loved the beach front location of room number 1, the views were amazing. The room was spacious and inviting. We enjoyed the teas and coffees provided. Breakfast each morning was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly too.

The coffee pot along the road was open each day during our stay. There was nowhere open to eat in the village on Monday or Tuesday but we did eat at the Shurig on Wednesday evening when it opened. It had a relaxed feel and simple food.

Had a wonderful 2 night stay. The hotel is beautiful, homey & so comfortable. Our room had lovely fresh, calm, modern decor, with a stunning sea view. Delicious breakfast, friendly service.

We ate at the Shuric, a short walk from the hotel, on our 1st night, then The Glen Isle, in Lamlash, on the 2nd night. Both excellent & good value. The whole island is worth seeing, but personal favourites are: all of the beaches, Machrie Moor, a stroll on Fisherman's Walk to the castle, coffee & cake at Little Rock cafe.

A wee mention on the site for impaired mobility guests and the amount of stairs to upper floors would be useful. The staff were lovely,never more so than when I had a problem through the 1st night I stayed and they sorted the issue without a problem.The breakfasts were wholesome without the choice of food being overly complicated.

The Coffee Pot - about 3/4 mile on your left is a lovely wee cafe with great home baking and quite a good range of food on their menu.IMHO Arran is an island for fit and healthy walkers with full mobility as there is a good range of walks to be had not so much if you have mobility problems.You can traverse the whole island in a car.Not so much to see on the West of this island

Nice guesthouse in a lovely town. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and our room had a beautiful view out to the sea. Great full Scottish breakfast in the morning was just what we needed to start the day.

As there was nowhere for dinner in whiting Bay we ate in Lamlash. Buses ran every hour or so (although probably worth checking times depending on the season). The staff at the guesthouse were very helpful looking up bus times for us.

The Burlington Guest House is a great place to base yourself for your holiday. The room we had was a see facing room with a great view. Plenty of tea and coffee room serviced well, towels changed 4 times during our 5night stay. Breakfast well cooked and nothing was to much trouble for the staff.checkin no problems Overall a enjoyable stay .

Plenty of places to see on the island, and a pub just down the road from the guest house. Nice coffee shop and a little store that also does coffee near by.

Perfect location. Rooms more than adequate. Staff very friendly and breakfast was great. Having read some previous not so good reviews about staff attitude to dogs at the premises I don't understand what the problems were. The staff were great with our 2 spaniels and were happy for us to leave them in the room while we had breakfast. All in all had a great time and would have no issues in recommending the hotel .

Bus stops within a few minutes walk but like everything on the island the service is laid back so buses run a liitle over schedule. Lamlash is only 3 miles away and there are plenty of bars and restaraunts, the best is the drift inn, food is amazing try to book ahead x

Our stay on the Isle of Arran was enhanced due to the location of this B & B. Parking is good and secure. We played golf on most days that we stayed and it was a perfect location. Our favourite courses were Whiting Bay, Lamlash and Shiskine, but all 7 courses are worth a visit.The Pierhead Tavern offered great food and service. Also The Drift Inn served delicious food.(both in Lamlash) Local Chinese and Indian takeaways were excellent. Lovely visits to both distilleries on the island.

I would highly recommend staying here . Me and my husband booked 3 nights with our dog Mali . The room was so clean and spacious, decorated beautifully. Usually if we stay in a dog friendly accommodation we kinda expect it to be a little run down , but not in this bed and breakfast. We had the best experience with all the staff , nothing was a bother for them . All the staff were so welcoming and friendly. Ian really is a lovely host and has a excellent team working with him . The breakfast was unreal, I had a full vegetarian breakfast the 3 mornings it was delicious, my husband enjoyed the breakfast also he had full breakfast Scottish breakfast. I have stayed in arran a few times other places but this location and what’s on offer is definitely my favourite so far . We definitely would stay here again . Thank you guys for making our trip amazing.

Arran is a beautiful place with so much to offer . We traveled on the 30th December till 2nd January, we booked it all last minute so wasn’t sure what would be on New Year’s Eve etc . So much on new year we had a few options from the locals , everyone was just so friendly and telling us what was on . Next to the bed and breakfast you have scenery looking out onto the ocean and holly island in view it’s breathtaking. You can walk along the bay and do the waterfalls and giants grave , all in walking distance . We visited a pub/ restaurant at the bottom of the road called (MOST) dog friendly and food was delicious, again staff were amazing it also had a snug bar down stairs which dogs could also access. You can take the bus to lambash , pubs ,restaurants etc . Ian also owns the PHT restaurant in lamlash it was fabulous on New Year’s Eve it had a guitarist singer on . Buses were a bit limited due to the time of year but it was all easily explained on the time tables and the drivers are all so happy and relaxed nothing bothered them . The locals in arran are the nicest kindest souls I’ve came across in a long time . Arran has my heart will definitely be back again .

Group of friends of 10 people this was our second visit to the Burlington. Duncan and all his staff are fantastic. Food is excellent, Duncan helped us with everything to supplying bandage for sprained wrist, getting one of our group a taxi for ferry as she had to leave early, letting us use dining room for tea and birthday cake on the Sunday. We cannot thank you enough for a great stay.

We used the restaurant MostatEdenLodge on the Sunday which is approx 20 minute walk but food was really good. Bus stop 5 minutes away, and local shop next door. Walks on beach or round to Kingscross can be done straight from the hotel also walk to Glenashdale Falls is nearby.
