The apartment had everything I needed for a great stay and the hostess was such a lovely lady who did everything in her power to make my stay a pleasant one.
Tips:The Mogabout Safari tour was great, we got to see all kinds of interesting and beautiful places. Also North Sannox Pony trekking was very nice, you don't have to be an experienced rider. I very much wanted to go paragliding (a tandem flight) but when I emailed to company, Flight Fever, I never got an answer unfortunately.

This apartment is in prime location in the centre of Brodick close to baker ,post office ,chemist ,supermarket and restaurants. The apartment is small but perfect for a couple and our Labrador. Everything you need is on hand and Caroline could not be more helpful . I would love to keep this a well kept secret but it would be mean of me not to promote this little apartment. We will certainly be back next year when I will enjoy once again walking my dog Moses along Brodick beach before enjoying bacon rolls for breakfast!
Tips:We always enjoy a trip around the island and this year we took the small ferry from Lochranza to Mull of Kintyre where we picked up some fresh lobster at Tarbert for our tea that night !We also had a round of golf at Sannox ...golf was poor but views over the Clyde were magnificent.Always eat out at Brodick bistro next door to the aparment ..very good value for the money but need to book as it is very popular .Also had 2 meals at Brambles restaurant in Auchranie hotel ...Seafood platter for 2 was excellent.

Cottage is small but well equipped and comfortable for two people. It is close to all amenities. Booking was very easy, staff were very helpful and friendly. I would recommend this cottage for short stays on Arran.
Tips:While there is a bus service on the island buses are not that frequent, hiring or bring a car would be easier to explore the Island. Arran cheese shop, Arran aromatics, Arran distillery and Blackwaterfoot beach all worth visiting. Fiddlers cafe is close to cottage and good food.

We had another fantastic week in Hunters apartment .It more than satisfied all our needs. It's location is so central and it was lovely to walk out on a morning with my dog along the beach to Brodick castle and back .The apartment is fully equipped and also has a safe enclosed garden. Caroline and her friend Debbie made us feel very welcome and I know already that we will be booking again for next year!
Tips:Because of its central location everything is close at hand...post office ,bank ,bakers , chemist , coop and plenty of pubs and restaurants .This year we particularly enjoyed the Fiddlers restaurant ,starting with a coffee and scone in the morning and live music and good food in the evening.Having a dog we enjoyed walking him on all the beaches(No restrictions) and our favourite this year was Lochranza . Can also recommend the Lochranza blended whisky!

Goat Fell, GlenRosa, headland walk at Lochranza all great walks, and the grounds around Brodick Castle lovely walks. Enjoyed it all - great island to cycle round and explore with your dog.

Very friendly owners. Charming property - quirky features. Great location. Perhaps a little dated and beds not all that comfortable. Bedrooms a good size and room enough for us all. Kitchen small but fine for us as didn't eat in.
Tips:Brodick bar for food. Lots for kids in Brodick. Castle cafe and museum cafe very good. Beach is always worthwhile. Arran is a great place for families and we will continue to return.

We enjoyed our stay at Hunter's Cottage which met most of our needs on our first holiday with our baby. We were very happy with the number of towels and toiletries provided and the cottage was on the whole very comfortable. Unfortunately the oven doesn't work very well - it took us 2.5 hrs to heat up a lasagne which should have taken 45 mins. The grill was fine however. There were a few light bulbs out which wasn't really an issue at this time of year but is perhaps worth pointing out. And while the property was clean and tidy, the decor is quite dated giving a very 'rustic' feel!

Good cottage, comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden that you have use of. Quite low ceilings, my husband banged his head a few times but it is a cottage! The bathroom is a bit small, there is a bath with a shower however you cannot stand up in it because of the slant of the ceiling. Overall great place to stay in the centre of Brodick.
Tips:We enjoyed visiting Brodick Castle, standing stones at Machrie and King's Cave near Blackwaterfoot. Also, if you fancy a spa treatment, the spa at Auchrannie is great.

The cottage is lovely and homely. Caroline, the owner, is always available to help and makes you feel right at home. But don't book the cottage because I want to continue to use it!
Tips:Fiddlers is a restaurant within 2 minutes walking distance and it has local musicians in the evening but make sure to make a reservation or you won't get in for dinner. You must also go and have lunch at the Coffee Pot in Whiting Bay. They have great food and cake!

This apartment had everything we required. The very small bathroom and bedroom did cause some inconvenience, but the bright kitchen/livingroom was ideal, and the enclosed garden sitting area was a real bonus.
Tips:Brodick Castle- it is worth paying the extra to go inside the castle- beautiful collections of china, furniture and paintings. 'Hooked and Cooked' chip shop near the ferry terminal has fabulous traditional takeaway fish and chips- best I've had in years. Arran Art Gallery at Whiting Bay has an extensive display of contemporary painting and prints.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hunters Cottage and wished we could have stayed longer. We'd definitely like to stay again. It was lovely to have the warm welcome from Louise and to hear her stories about the history of the house. The house had a lovely atmosphere and seemed very much like someone's house and not just a holiday house. Lots of individual touches and we liked the CD collection!
Tips:Bistro next door is very much recommended - we went there twice. Machrie Moore is great if you like standing stones and prehistoric landscapes - which we do. We managed to see a Scottish wildcat which was one of the highlights amongst the wildlife that we saw. If you are attempting to climb Goatfell don't take the route from Glen Sannox as we found this quite difficult in places and had to come back a different way. The Distillery makes a pleasant tour and the café there was great for lunch. Nice people more or less everywhere.

Nearly everything about the cottage is excellent but the bathroom and shower needs a refurb to get it to a level where I could recommend to others - it was really pretty impractical. I can imagine anyone with any kind of difficulty moving, injury/immobility etc having a real nightmare. Maybe tricky given the layout but sorting this would make the cottage perfect. No wish to labour on any negative and am extremely grateful for the early entry, cot and high chair. Excellent service all round and a perfect location. Thanks Martin

The apartment grew on us throughout the week and we really enjoyed our stay. We had one or two issues with heating, we had to use the fan heater at times. We couldn't use the main oven because it appeared to be broken, and the top oven generated smoke (which may have been our fault.) The hob set off the smoke alarm, mixed in with the smoke from the oven. Other than that the apartment was intimate, cosy and really in a fantastic location.
Tips:I challenge other people staying there to beat my five minutes getting a chinese. I was out at 5 to six, walked down, ordered, got the food and returned for 6! Otherwise the driving range doesn't seem to get the tourism it deserves. I suppose I'd recommend people to see all of the island because of the diversity of scenery and things to do.
